Fun Little Ham Contact.

If any of you every watch the Tim Allen 'Last Man Standing' you may, if you look close, see a table in the corner with some ham equipment on it. It's actually a real ham station. There is a LMS radio club that comes in and uses it, and Tim, and the Crew that are Ham operators (quite a few I've heard) will use the station during meal breaks.

Anyway, I made contact with the station this afternoon (Tuesday 1/21) and have sent them my QSL card. I expect to receive their return card before too long.

As the title says, a Fun Little Contact.

I'm working on my world map as well to catch up with my contacts and pins. It's ongoing, working on one region at a time.

Update from the Compound

Hi Guys,

Just a bit of rambling,

I am planning on an advanced CERT training this next Saturday. It’s under the jurisdiction of Everett, where I am a certified Emergency Worker, should a major event happen. It’ll cover a presentation from Snohomish PUD on downed wires, (Treat as live always!), some refresher advanced first aid, and a session on Hazardous Materials. All Good Stuff.

Last weekend, Mom, I and Chester visited Uncle Larry and Aunt Janice’s new place over in Cle Elem. Very nice house, with log construction and very high vaulted ceilings. I hope that we can arrange a visit in the Spring for you. There is a bit of snow there now.  

I’ve rearranged my half f the office, (see picture below). I’m working to come up with the ‘perfect’ color coding for pinning the places I’ve made contacts. We’ll see soon what I come up with.

Mom and I have now seen the Last Episode of the common core sequence of Star Wars. It’s not easy explaining that to Mom (Core story vs. off core stories) but I try. We enjoyed it, and had a surprise when Patrick came down to out seats to visit. It’s the kind of movie your see for the first time to just enjoy the story, and then work to see how things tied up the threads from the prior 8 episodes. I disagreed with some of the; answers’ but I wasn’t the director.

Other than that, we’re chugging right alone. Ham club meeting today (Saturday), a project with plywood and bathtubs around the corner.
